Photography can be a fun and relaxing activity that enhances your holiday enjoyment.
Imagine being able to record those memorable moments that occur while on holiday.
Imagine being able to share those moments with your friends and family back home.

This “playshop” is designed as a relaxing and enjoyable learning experience.

Whether you have a small “point and shoot” camera (including a camera phone), a new “mirrorless” camera, or a big honk’n SLR, you can spend 2 days learning how to make better, “knock your socks off” photographs that will make others envious of your talents.

Bring what ever camera(s) and lens(es) you can comfortably carry. If you have a tripod (optional), bring it along. Regardless of whether you are a novice or enthusiast photographer, you will benefit from this “playshop.” Our casual encounter will provide you valuable tips, techniques, and insights into photography that you have not considered before.

We will spend most of our time out and about in the Core of Vancouver . . . internationally recognized as one of the world’s most livable cities.

We will convene on Saturday morning at the reasonable holiday hour of 10 am for a general overview and discussion of Holiday Travel Photography focusing on what you want to know. Saturday afternoon will be spent at English Bay including a taste of Stanley Park, the world-renowned natural preserve in the heart of Vancouver. The late afternoon and early evening will take us to Granville Island with its “target rich” environment including great views of Vancouver’s skyline and waterfront. If the sunset cooperates, we will be in the right place to record the splendor.

Early Sunday Morning will feature an optional sunrise walkabout in Coal Harbour, Vancouver’s exclusive waterfront neighbourhood. Later that morning, we will venture into the historic Gastown and Chinatown historic districts. After a lunch break, we will return to the Vancouver Photo Workshop Studios for a constructive evaluation of your images. You will be shown how you can enhance your digital images once they have been recorded by your camera.
